The Company

Year 1965 in Rebordosa, Paredes, the company’s founder, Mr. JOSÉ AUGUSTO MOREIRA DA SILVA started his chair manufacturing activity in a small workshop

Year 2000, 25 years later, after the last large-scale developments and some important landmarks, such as the company internationalization and company certification, it was the time of modernising the facilities.

To add value for our customers and shareholders in our activities of design, development, the manufacturing and trading of chairs and tables, through continuous improvement of quality and competitiveness and partnerships with the stakeholders.

JMS looks into the future in the certainty of its history and tradition. It wants to play a growing role, as a group of international importance in its sector, creating and developing products and trends increasingly capable of meeting the innovation and needs of the customers.

The project of the brand M+re Contract began in 2007 with the aim of strengthening trade ties with our customers, developing new international contacts and address it to the Contract sector.

SIANA

SIANA project was created in the beginning of 2014 with the aim of entering the Healthcare market, specialized in the manufacturing of wooden chairs and tables.

The valuable know-how, the high quality of the raw materials, the use of highly advanced sophisticated production systems and the quality certifications are a strong support to the brand.

Each piece of furniture is designed and developed under the highest quality standards, addressed to a demanding market, such as the Healthcare. The design and ergonomics are the key to the success of the brand.

ALL SEATING

ALL SEATING is a brand of J. Moreira da Silva, a company with five decades of experience in the manufacturing of chairs and tables, for the local and export markets.

ALL SEATING was conceived to provide a wider range of options within JMS products. The sober and irreverent design is an accomplice of the resistant and contemporary materials, highlighting the versatility of this furniture, which covers a great variety of fields, such as the hospitality industry, like restaurants, coffee shops and even the private context, mainly the kitchens market.

Materials such as wood, metal, polycarbonate and polypropylene combine the best features to the demands of an intensive and long-lasting use in either indoor or outdoor environments.

CERTIFICATES

ISO 9001

The ISO 9001 establishes requirements that help to improve internal processes, the performance of the employees, the monitoring at the work place, the customer satisfaction survey, employees and suppliers, in a continuous process improvement in the quality management system.

Quality Policy

We have constantly evolved, based on our manufacturing knowledge and traditional skills acquired over the past half century, creating furniture which is recognized for design and quality.

All our manufacturing processes and products are subject to stringent quality tests.

The TUV and CATAS certifications are the mirror of this requirement.

PEFC – CHAIN OF CUSTODY CERTIFICATION

The purpose of this certification process is to provide appropriate guarantees to consumers that our products certified in compliance with PEFC criteria arise from forest management practices, where the principles of sustainability based on three fundamental pillars are consistently applied: (1) Social (2) Environmental (3) Economic.

CATAS

We are a CATAS member, which is the most important Italian research institute and test laboratory in the wood and furniture field, and a reference in Italy and worldwide. We carry out tests on our products according to European and international standards.
